Green Lighthouse – the climate friendly house of the future
The Green Lighthouse was opened October 20 by the University of Copenhagen.
The building is a lighthouse in three ways: It is a green beacon for sustainable building technology, visible in connection with the COP15 Climate Change Conference. It is a shining example of an effective public-private partnership. And it is a new landmark for the Science Faculty at the University of Copenhagen, which will use the building to house its student services.
The participants in the project are the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the University of Copenhagen, the City of Copenhagen, and the Danish companies Velux and Velfac.
